The Ballerina

It is not uncommon for there to be a real live ballerina in the studio.  Living with one and having them in and out for class is an everyday occurrence.  The opportunity to shoot with one is a bit more rare.  I was fortunate to have Eve in the studio this past week, and along with the headshot I did for her, we also made some fantastic dance images.   I have to give credit to my wife Sarah, for setting up the session and directing the photo shoot. Ballet is extremely technical and the sitting in on a training session gives one a true sense of the effort, focus, and skill these artists have.  A directed photo session is much the same, with each position being analyzed and redone until it looked perfect.

My girls were so excited to meet a real ballerina in costume, I just had to include a couple of photographs with them.

  1. Beautiful photos. I am proud to claim you as one of my students. Keep up the good work. Sarah told me of your audition and the response of the adjudicators. How wonderful! Life is just beginning for you as a dancer. Continue to study and grow and flourish as an artist.

    Love, Dr. T.
