We had the pleasure of photographing Kim and Matt’s wedding at the beautiful Paniola Ranch in Boerne, TX. Thanks for choosing us!
Chapel Dulcinea sits southwest of Austin overlooking the beautiful hill country. What sets this wedding venue apart from others is that it is free. There is no charge for the use of the chapel for wedding ceremonies. Granted the chapel is not suited for large events, but if you are planning a small ceremony with close family then this might be the ideal location.
I had the pleasure of photographing Kelly and Joel’s wedding at Chapel Dulcinea and the ceremony was uniquely theirs. With family and close friends in attendance, they exchanged vows in a heartfelt and meaningful ceremony before ringing the historic bell, to indicate they were now husband and wife.
I am excited to be photographing Liz and Gavin’s wedding this Saturday at Scenic Springs in Helotes. Just on the edge of West San Antonio, Helotes is a lovely area that opens up to the Hill Country. All the areas at Scenic Springs are picturesque, and it is a wonderful location for a fairytale ceremony, and I can’t wait to photograph an amazing couple in a fantastic location.
A couple of weeks ago I went up in Aj’s Piper to shoot Peter’s proposal to Crystal. I had a fantastic time making the trip to Austin and photographing the surprise proposal, but it also gave me a chance to do some aerial photography. In the process I was able to capture some interesting images for myself and some good promotional shots for Aj.
Aj did a complete restore of the Piper, and in the process decked it out nicely. The Piper seats 6 with the pilot, and in Aj’s terms is a workhorse and can be loaded down without any trouble. Once we were up in the air Aj cut back the throttle to cruising speed giving us a bit more efficiency on the fuel. Being able to get to Austin in 20 minutes from San Antonio can spoil you pretty quick, but getting to enjoy the view of the Hill Country was fantastic.
After taking Peter and Crystal up, Aj had one more sunset tour for an Austin couple, then we headed back. A quick circle of downtown Austin gave me the opportunity to grab some cool shots of the Capitol building, then off for the Bulverde airstrip.
The Westin La Cantera is an elegant and beautiful location for weddings and receptions in the San Antonio area. If you have been following the blog then you may have seen my post on the promotional shoot for Carlos. The shoot took place at the Westin La Cantera at sunset, and it has to be one of the most gorgeous locations I have shot. Carlos and his wife Angela were married at the Westin a couple years ago, and the Westin was gracious enough to allow out use of the grounds for his promo shoot.
The Westin affords some spectacular views of the surrounding Texas hill country, as well as elegant accommodations and full service wedding support. With all the amenities right on sight this would be the perfect location for ceremony, reception, and honeymoon. The staff is fantastic and the service outstanding. If you are looking for a stunning San Antonio location for your wedding, the Westin La Cantera should be on the list.
