Sometimes you have to be a little bit bold, especially this time of year. For the most part Texas winter weather is mild, and it can result in perfect conditions for a wedding ceremony. On the other hand it can be miserable, and leave couples looking for a plan “B”. On the morning of Amy and Eli’s wedding, plan “B” appeared to be the likely choice. Slightly on the cool side, and with heavy threatening skies, the chance of rain was very likely. It takes a bold bride to stick with an outdoor ceremony plan under those conditions, but Amy was sure of her decision.
As if to exhibit some kind of super power over the weather, the rain did hold out all the way up until the last shots of the formal photos, then light sprinkles fell letting everyone know it was time to move on to the reception. Congrats to a wonderful couple and a fantastic wedding day. Capturing the moments of your day was a heartwarming experience.
Amy picked a beautiful day for bridal photos, and you can never go wrong having them done at Scenic Springs. The grounds are beautiful and the scenery is gorgeous. Such a fitting location for her wedding and bridal photography. Now that she is married here are a few of the images from the session.
Beautiful days and gorgeous venues are always the perfect backdrop for wedding photography. Patty and Josh chose Scenic Springs in Helotes, TX as their wedding venue, and the day couldn’t have been more perfect. The day was full of emotion and very touching moments, as their close friends and family gathered for the special day.
The day began with Patty and Josh getting ready at the venue and continued with a “first look” moment that really set the stage for the day. The beauty and emotion that would follow made capturing heartwarming images easy. It was such a joy to be a part of their day and experience the excitement first hand.
Weaving a Star Wars theme into your wedding day does not have to be difficult. Michelle and Jeff took a few aspects of their special day and made them uniquely personal. Not only was it fun to see these two enjoy their wedding day, but it was also great to photograph those details.
Scenic Springs was the perfect venue, and while the weather kept most everyone indoors for the duration of the day, it did not stop everyone from enjoying the reception and having a great time. Anytime there are lightsabers involved it is bound to be fun!
I have several photographs from Liz and Gavin’s wedding this past weekend. They had a wonderful ceremony and reception held at Scenic Springs just outside San Antonio. I will be posting more images from the wedding this week.
I am excited to be photographing Liz and Gavin’s wedding this Saturday at Scenic Springs in Helotes. Just on the edge of West San Antonio, Helotes is a lovely area that opens up to the Hill Country. All the areas at Scenic Springs are picturesque, and it is a wonderful location for a fairytale ceremony, and I can’t wait to photograph an amazing couple in a fantastic location.
Darren and his wife Jessica, recently returned from a hiking trip to Arkansas. Being a fellow photographer, and having a keen eye for landscape photographer, it was exciting to see the images Darren captured while there. It was in the Ozarks of Arkansas, when I was 14, that I first saw true mountains. The only thing I could think about as we drove through, was how fun it would be to ride a road bike up and down the long stretches of road winding through the range. While later on I did pursue bicycle racing, I never did realize that dream of riding and racing in the mountains.
Darren’s photography of the Arkansas mountains captures all the beauty and magnificence that I remember as a young kid, but on a much grander scale. He has the ability to locate amazing scenes and the patience to wait for the opportune time to capture his images. Take a moment to hop over to his blog post on the recent trip, and then browse his galleries for some incredible images.
